The Lower Falls
Lower Falls of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone
The Lower Falls is the tallest waterfall in Yellowstone. It has a height of 308 feet tall and has anywhere from 5,000 to 63,000 gallons of water going over the edge per minute. The falls flow into the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, a 24 mile long canyon. This beautiful canyon is multi-colored from extinct thermal features as well as active ones. There are several different viewpoints of the canyon and falls, this one in particular was taken at Lookout View on the North Rim Drive.
